The story of Kurt Cobain will be held at the Wedgewood Rooms in Southsea on Saturday 17th August 2019.
Written, directed and performed by Portsmouth based musician, Craig Perry, this one off show tells the story of the late, great Kurt Cobain. Expect video footage, stories and live music throughout the evening. This is a true coming together of the Portsmouth music scene, with a myriad of local musicians of all different styles paying tribute to an icon of music.
During his short life, Kurt Cobain changed the face of rock music forever. 25 years since his tragic and untimely death, this fitting tribute delves deep into the person behind the music.
All profits from the night will be donated to Reverse Rett through Rock for Rett. Rock for Rett is a musical movement created by Dan Sawyers, one of the musicians involved in the night who has a stepdaughter, Lucy, with Rett Syndrome.
After the show, there will be a 90’s rock DJ set courtesy of local DJ, Alton-X until 02.00.
