Rare Disease Day takes place on the rarest of days, 29th Feb on a Leap year and 28th Feb for the three years in between.
Rett syndrome is actually quite common for a rare disease, but it’s still a rare disease and one amongst many.
Rare Disease Day gives small disease groups like ours, the opportunity to share an awareness day and to get some light shone on our rare diseases which is usually a fairly difficult thing to do.
