Warrington Guardian: Ex-Wolves prop Gary Chambers to eat no solid foods for a month

A former Warrington Wolves forward will be eating no solid foods this month to raise funds and awareness for charity.

Gary Chambers, who made 210 appearances for the Wire over 11 seasons before retiring in 2000, will be taking on the challenge in aid of Reverse Rett alongside the organisation’s founder Andy Stevenson.

October is Rett Syndrome Awareness Month, with the charity boss’ daughter and step-daughter both suffering from the rare neurological disorder.

Beth and Amber can no longer eat solid food as a result of their condition.
