Choose Your Trek for Reverse Rett

This year we have three Reverse Rett team treks taking place, all in the UK.

Having led the Jurassic Juggernauts team a long 100k of the beautiful Dorset Coast last year I know first hand how much fun they are. Walking with other dad’s of children with Rett syndrome and friends was a truly unique bonding experience. The camaraderie was incredible and despite walking for around 26 hours the talking and banter never stopped.

I’m doing it all again this year in the Lake District Ultra on the weekend of June 7th. We already have 22 people signed up to the Reverse Rett Lakers team, and there’s still plenty of time to join us and get the training in, everybody welcome! Most of the team have chosen to do the 100k continuous option but you can also join us for the first 50K.

On Saturday 3rd August the Reverse Rett South Westers will taking on the South West Coast 50 which will start and end under Dunster Castle. The team will be led by Kath Thorne whose niece, Alba has Rett syndrome. It’s a challenging full day walk which takes you through Exmoor National Park.

Finally on the weekend of September 7th there will be a Reverse Rett team trekking 100k in the South Coast Ultra Challenge. They will be doing 50k each day and camping on the Saturday night. The team will be led by Reverse Rett CEO, mum to Amber and my wife/boss, Rachael Stevenson who has done multi day treks in the Sahara and Iceland in the last two years so you’ll be in safe hands. There are also other distance options if you want to do a one day trek.

We would love you to join us on one (or more) of our team treks, I can 100% guarantee you’ll have a great time with like minded people who want a cure for Rett syndrome and you’ll make some new friends for life.
