Easy ways to help

We all feel a little (a lot?) helpless right now. Eight months into a global pandemic and with no end in sight, I know I’m not the only one finding it hard to plan beyond tomorrow, stay motivated or keep coming up with creative ways to fundraise!

BUT there are some things that we are all still doing (some of us more than ever!) which can have a big impact on funding research without any planning, motivation or creativity required.

If, like me, you’re now on a first-name basis with the Amazon delivery guy, far more familiar with your shopping apps than with the inside of an actual shop, or know your credit card number and CVC by heart, here are some simple ways to raise funds for Reverse Rett at no extra cost or hassle . . .

Give As You Live and Easy Fundraising allow you to shop online with over 4,000 stores, giving a % of what you spend to the charity you choose. They’re free to sign up, no hidden costs and really easy to use.

Amazon Smile donates 0.5% of your eligible purchases to the charity of your choice. Same products, same prices, same delivery as Amazon, just with a charity donation thrown in.

Pledjar is a new mobile app through which you can simply and securely connect your bank account, round-up your transactions and pass on your ‘spare change’ to research.

All of us at Reverse Rett and many of our friends and family have signed up to the above and we can already see the £££ adding up, just from doing the things we’d all be doing anyway!

If you know of any other simple ways of daily fundraising, please drop me an email at, I’d love to hear from you and add your easy ways to help, to ours!
