The Big Give Christmas Challenge

12/12/2023

A huge thank you to everybody who helped us reach our target and more in this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge.

This is the 14th year in a row that our supporters have pulled together with a phenomenal £80,541 including Gift Aid being raised.

Every year we worry about reaching our target for weeks beforehand and during the challenge itself and every year, you, our supporters deliver. We never take your support for granted and we are so appreciative that you continue to stand with us as we reach this pivotal time for Rett patients all around the world.

The money raised will be spent on our continued funding of the CIPP Rett Centre which is making such a big difference to our children living with Rett syndrome in the UK.

The Rett community are hugely excited by the latest news from two gene therapy clinical trials in Rett and what they could mean for the future. For now, we need to keep as many people we can as healthy as possible so they can access new treatments when they become available and that’s why the Centre is so important for families around the UK.

Best wishes to you and your family for the festive season and here’s to 2024 being a great year for the people we love with Rett syndrome.

“This year Lottie spent her summer at Leicester Royal Infirmary rather than in Cornwall as we had planned.

During her admission CIPP provided essential guidance to her medical team as well as support for us, as parents, which was invaluable at a time when we were beside ourselves with worry.

CIPP are unparalleled in their expertise in the provision of care to patients with Rett Syndrome. They make a real difference every day to so many families.

It was fantastic to see so many people help them to continue to be a lifeline for all their patients, just as they were for Lottie this year.”
